Export to excel function - date/time

The export to excel button

When exporting for instance a selection of sales, the date column in excel is shown with date and time.

How to get rid of the timestamp?

excel doesn't recognize the column as Date, but sets Custom instead.

Is this a bug in superoffice?

i've tried different test enviroment:

7.5.5543 og Office 2013 - show only date as it should

7.5.5543 og Office 2016 - show only date as it should

SO web 8sr1 og win med office 2016 - shows also the timestamp

7.1.4507 og Office 2010 - shows also the timestamp

7.1.4816 og Office 2010 - shows also the timestamp

7.1.4816 og Office 2016 - shows also the timestamp

RE: Export to excel function - date/time

Ehm.. I don't see this in 8.0 with Office 2010.
We use a third party library for this that has served us well - LibXL.
For Date columns, the libXL format used is NUMFORMAT_DATE. This seems to translate well to Excel (Office 10).

We are probably seeing an issue with the LibXL version together with some Office version.
All I can suggest is to register this.

More: I looked at the 7.1 Code. The libXL format used then was NUMFORMAT_CUSTOM_MDYYYY_HMM.

So I am afraid you are looking at an upgrade...

RE: Export to excel function - date/time

Unfortunately this is still an issue in SuperOffice Online 8.3 in combination with Excel 2016.

Any solution for this? :)

RE: Export to excel function - date/time

Hi Rick,
I am not seeing this in the Win client with Excel 2016  or 365.
I am seeing this in the web version. I believe Web uses the same LibXL lib but I have no idea how.
I suggest you re-post this issue in one of the Web forums.
