Where are a user's List columns and Diary View settings held?

Have customer that has one user who cannot edit the view tab in the Diary.  Clicks on the Task button and as soon as they then click Edit all SuperOffice freezes and has to be quit in Task Manager.

This is logon specific issue - login as another user on the same PC and it's OK.  Login as the user on a different machine and get the same problem.

Also found that attempting any change to a list settings (column or sorting) does the same.  Suspect that the user's setting for these is somehow corupt but I don't know where they are saved, doen't appear to be in the USERPREFERENCE table.

On SO 7.5

RE: Where are a user's List columns and Diary View settings held?

As far as the Multi-User diary view is conserned, settings are stored in the DiaryView and DiaryViewRow tables.

The Columns & Sort order settings of archives however, are stored as user preferences (Win client), superlistcolumnsize records (Web client).

If you have identical issues with both, then my gutt feeling is that there is something larger that is seriously wrong.

Archive column infos:
SELECT * FROM crm7.USERPREFERENCE WHERE prefsection LIKE 'ConfigInfos'

Archive sort infos:
SELECT * FROM crm7.USERPREFERENCE WHERE prefsection LIKE 'SortInfos'

No harm can come from deleting all of these preferences for any associate.
The archives will default to factory settings.

Hi Conrad,

Thanks for the information. I did not know there was a difference for the Web & Win client. I had issues before (Mostely in Web) and deleting the records in superlistcolumnsize usually does the trick :-)

Removing all the given preferences did not fix this.  Customer decided to create a new user login.

I am not surprised. Given that it was happening in 2 completely different contexts.
We would need the database to trace this issue.
