Using both Netserver and Webservices in an application

Hi,

Is it possible to use both Netserver and Webservices in a single application?

Cheers

Hi,

can you elaborate? Do you mean if you can use both the NetServer .dll files, and the remote SOAP webservices? Or do you mean the REST webservices? And why...?

Frode,

I meant to be able to use the NetServer DLLs and call SOAP requests from the same application?

We are trying to move our bespoke dev to all use webservices to future proof them, however, some still use custom tables, so we would still need to use Netserver for these parts until these are avaliable via webservices.

Cheers

Rich

Hello,

You can get the extraTables through the Services with the DatabaseTableAgent... Or create CRMscripts that return data from the tables. I guess you can get it through the REST-API as well with dynamic.

I would suggest not migrating your existing solution over to use SOAP at least, as SOAP is on the way out (somewhere down the line).

Just an input :D

I agree with Eivind. You should really look into the new REST WebApi, it's really nice.
