Is it possible to control the sorting order in the quote template variable OrderBy?

Yeah, the rank order. Would have been nice if you could easily just sort it in the template.

Hi Patrik,

in the document "ProdictTemplateAllTemplateVariables.docx" (located in SO_ARC/templates) you can find a hint to the order-clause:

As the documentation does not state anything about this and no one seems to know, I assume the answer is that it is not possible.

Hi Ulrich

You write "It can refer to any field on the line level...". I am not so sure about that, since I get an error if I try to "OrderBy:" on producyCategoryKey or productFamilyKey:

I would assume I could order on a line level by one of those 2 fields.

Hi Søren,

you are right, I had the same experience a couple of weeks ago.

The information I refer to comes out of a documentation for quote-template variables.

My colleague Christian has made a post in NPR-forum (Question about sorting in quote details template), unfortunately the only answer was:

"Hi Christian,

I have no direct answer to your question there, but a work-around could be to simply use an "extra quote field" which you will use for ordering the results. This could be an integer value which defines the ordering position of that product category or something similar."
