Create Package - Scripts doesn't show for selection

Hi,

What could be the reason for certain scripts not to show in the list of selectable scripts when creating a service package?

* The scripts missing do have both a name and a include name.

* I've tried both with and without script description (that includes special chars as ["*/-,] (excluding the [ ]).

* The script contains a struct, are there special considerations needed for this maybe?

* The script includes a include-statement, but I have other scripts that shows that also have include-statements

Triggers

It would have been nice if it was possible to add trigger-event-scripts to the package as well. Any plans on that? Now I put all code in separate scripts that I include in the trigger-event. But I still have to add that minimal script-code part in the trigger-event manually.

Best Regards

Marcus

Hi,

Are your scripts being executed by scheduled task? If yes, they will be included if you select task in package.

Yes, these two are connected to a schedule task, but when trying to enable the scheduled tasks in the new environment, it complains that the scripts can't be found.

Required data missing: couldn't find ejScript "inc_batch-validate-company-owner" for scheduled task batch-validate-company-owner

But if I look into the package I can see that the required scripts are included at least.

1. Is it required (under any circumstances) to add a name for the exported objects in the package?

2. If a script is connected to a scheduled task, is it only possible to export the script itself by exporting the scheduled task (in theory as I haven't gotten this to work yet :)).

Hi,

If script connected to tasks include other scripts, these will not be included automatically in package. You need to add those manually to package is my best guess ;)

If you try to edit script connected to task and save it, it should check includes.

Now I see!

I missed that the batch-scripts was listed separately in the import-list (as they wasn't shown in the export-list). When I check them in the import list as well as the scheduled tasks, it all works! So, that's logical. :)

But it would have been nice to be able to export scripts separately from a relation to a scheduled task. It is kind of illogical that it is needed to add the scheduled task, if you just want the script connected to the scheduled task. You don't need to import the task of course, but still. It would have been more logical if the adding of the scheduled task, automatically ticked the related script for export when creating the package.
