A link can be used to track responses from your customers and prospects. When your recipients click on your link this will trigger an action. The action can be various things, such as open a new website, update your recipient's contact card, or add a request from your customer in Service.
The goal you set before sending your newsletter or sales campaign will determine what links you should use. Each goal will have its own call-to-action, to trigger a response from the recipient that you want to track. This way you can follow up with your recipients after you have received all the results.
Before you start the actual mailing, you can set up the links you will use in most mailings. Once you set them up, you can use them again and again. Most common links to use are for example:
- Unsubscribe pages
- Contact forms
- Social media channels
By creating these links you can save time as you won't have to set up the link every time. You can re-use the preset links.
