Error with trigger 'Service: New notification request from form submission'

Hi Guys.

I'm not sure If I'm doing anything wrong, but I can't get this trigger to work.

I want to load a ticket and a person, and then send a reply template. First the ticket is loaded from the Enviroment variables, and secondly the person is loaded from the result values of 'Load a request'.

Problem is the person.id returns -1.

If I trace the macro-code I notice the following

1) The loaded ticket returns custId as -1 (test variable).

Is this because the trigger is called before the ticket is done saving? Or am I doing something wrong?

(Yes, the ticket has a contact).

Hi Kasper,

What event is your trigger connected to? Doing this before the ticket is saved could be relevant, but normally not. Can you try doing the same, but as a regular script, not a trigger? And for an existing ticket.

RE: Error with trigger 'Service: New notification request from form submission'

Hi Sverre

Kasper and I would like to use a trigger/macro to send an autoreply to a contact from a request, created from a form submission.

Meaning a person fill out a form with additional information about a product registration. This form submission creates a new request with a title, category and priority. We want the request to send an autoreply to the contact, triggered by the form submission. (Other requests created from e-mail sends the autoreply on based on a e-mail filter og the e-mail account.)

We want it to be done from the triggers/macros (and not CRMscript), so the customer will be able to make new triggers and macros themselves (copy the one we have made). Because the customer use more than 20 different forms, creating requests in different categories, needing different autoreplies.

So the trigger is: New notification request from form submission. Then we need different actions: to load a contact, a request, an e-mail reply template and send it. But in which order and with which identificators: contact name, contact ID etc.?
