Can't access screen from Maintenance, when logged in as User level 0 Sales-user

Hi forum.

I need to do some work for a customer, but I can’t access System Design (buttons in red at picture below is missing), from where the work needs to be done.

I'm using the following setup:

  1. Customer is Online
  2. Customer does have Expander service.
  3. They only have sales-licenses.
  4. I’m logged in as a sales-user, thus I can’t access this from Service.
  5. Sales-user does have User level 0, and full admin right.
  6. I can access script (from CRMScript), so the Expander Service must be activated.

I can manage to active the buttons by doing the following:

  1. Adding Complete licens to the customer.
  2. Changing my user to the complete-license, instead of the sale.
  3. Log out  / in.
  4. Now the buttons were available.
  5. Changing licens back to sales.
  6. Log out / in.
  7. Buttons is still there.

If I then login as the sales-user in inkognito mode, then the buttons are missing again.

How can that be? It smells a bit like a cache-issue of some kind.

RE: Can't access screen from Maintenance, when logged in as User level 0 Sales-user

Hi,

Setup for Requests, Customer Centre and System Design are only available for customers using Service functionality.

This means, a customer db has to have at least 1 Service or Complete user plan for these 3 buttons to show up in the Admin client.

Your administrator with Sales plan will get access to System Design as soon as the customer license is updated with 1 service or complete user plan. After the new license is loaded into the system, you can log out and back in with your admin user, and the buttons will show up. There is no need for changing the administrators user plan.

Best regards,

Trude

Hi Trude.

Thank you for your answer. Well, I though the entire idea of putting these options in Settings and Maintenance, was for the customer to not necessarely use Complete or Service. At least for 'System design'.

But a good thing to know :).
