Small Field Service Solution

A customer would like to do a small field service solution:

1. Tickets coming in -> check, thats is easy

2. Dispatch ticket -> easy if software, can be done inhouse

                            -> if hardware needed, spareparts need to be selected and sent, technician needs to be planned

                            -> cost estimate sent to customer and gets accepted

3. Technician reports what he/she did and sends report, what has been done back including which parts were needed

I'm wondering how we can best solve that with service, anyone did that already?

We have encounterd this quite often and solved the cases differently, depending on:

- do the technicians work with SO?

- How many technicians?

- Is the planning done in SO?

Solutions have varied from some fields on a service request to customized solutions with signatures.

 

i know that one of the Dutch partners is working on a link with the OutSmart platform, which is a very known platform for planning technicians, work order signing and registering used materials. Perhaps that is a solution for you as well.
