how do you connect comptr table with category table?

data source Super Office mirrorring tool is in use. Through Tableau connect two tables 'comptr' and 'category'.

This way I can distinguish the various steps per comptr. In use are the name (comptr) and name (category). However, the results are not connecting. Category names and competitor names are  null when matched.

It would be great to include this per month for an overview in Tableau through SuperOffice tables.

with kind regards,

Erwin

RE: how do you connect comptr table with category table?

Hello,

There is no connection between the comptr and category list tables.

Category is used on contact or person level, to specific the category.

Comptr is the Competitor used on Sale level.

They are 2 seperates list without any connection between them.

It's important to clarify here that a competitor is not an actual company entity in SuperOffice. The competitor field on sale is just a simple list with no relation to companies stored in SuperOffice, therefore there's no relation between the comptr table and the category table, see this diagram.
