Online environment multiple end-points

During the Cirrus technology session at last Expander World it was mentioned that the online environment would be getting multiple endpoints (online, online2, etc) in the future. I wrote this down to check if we had "online." hard-coded somewhere in our Online apps platform, turns out we do! (Oops)

Is there any roadmap/plan about when this is going to go live in Prod? And what is expected from App Partners?

Do we need to figure out using the referrer header in the "authentication dance" where to send the user back to for the SUO login page? And will the "netserver_url" claim returned from SuperId automatically contain the correct endpoint?

RE: Online environment multiple end-points

Hi David,

I believe this began testing in SOD before the holidays. Apps are expected to use the url passed to them in the security token. i.e. netserver_url and webapi_url.

I recall hearing there was a bug reported around this, where the app was given the old sub-domain in the security tokeneven though the client was actually available on a newer subdomain - causing 'unreachable' errors.

I've been on sick-leave for a couple weeks, so I'm not sure of the state of this. I'll have to get back to you about this.

RE: Online environment multiple end-points

Bug Tony refers to was fixed with the released that came just before Christmas (R04), so just send us en email and we will make a "SOD2" tenant to you so you may test your app.

Thanks Tony & Margrethe!

We are using the endpoint specified in the netserver_url claim returned in the token. So that should be no issue.

@Margrethe, I send a request for an SOD2 tenant.

RE: Online environment multiple end-points

Hi, did you go live with online2 allready? Our support for the 2-environments hasn't been pushed out to production yet, so we were caught a little off guard here.

RE: Online environment multiple end-points

I have just been told that it has been put into production, and have been shown some tenants running against it.

I am unaware if it has been documented any where... but yes, it is in production.

In our experience you don't have the change anything, as long as you use the netserver_url provided in the claims returned by the SuperIdToken.
