After starting Customer Service an error is presented

After starting Customer Service an error is presented see below.

This error is shown in the browser

FHFile::FileException: fopen("c:\ejournal\config", "rb" + failed, errno=No such file or directory; cwd=D:\SuperOffice\Customer Service\www\scripts

I have checked all paths in the database, registry etc but the error is coming back every time in the logfile.

I tried earlier blogposts but they did not work. The customer uses SuperOffice version 8.1.6499

Anybody an idea what causes the problem?

Hi Henk!

What happens if you run upgrade.exe?

Is it a fresh install/upgrade/move?

Henk, did you by any chance change the hostname of the CS site?

If yes, did you also go into regedit and change the values there?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> WOW6432Node -> SuperOffice Customer Service

Yes the config file in the ...\www\scripts folder exists and I checked the values for the fcgi and the exe it the path is correct.
Thanks for thinking with me.

RE: After starting Customer Service an error is presented

Hi,

The code we execute for this is pretty simple. First, we get the hostname you are using to access the site. Then we check into registry for a key as Simen pointed out and try to load the config file from there. If we cannot find it, we fallback to c:\ejournal as you experience.

I can only think that:

  1. The registry key is incorrect. Please verify that it contains the exact same hostname as you use to access the site.
  2. The process is unable to read the config file. Please make sure the file is readable for the user the IIS process is running as. For troubleshooting, you might consider making the file available for everyone.

Hi Sverre,

I will check this and let you know about the rights, I had already placed everyone for the test, but maybe i mist something.
The registrykey is correct.
