change netserver used in CS

Hi

I want to change the url to netserver used in CS.

customer service is installed on own site, and superoffice under another site.

Netserver used in CS now is located under Superoffice site.

I want to change to netserver running on another site.

Tried changing the netserver url in config file under customer service folder, but then get the following error message

 

Do i also have to run the upgrade.exe in order to use the other netserver?

Running version 8.0 SR6

Hi Gabriel,

if CS worked before you changed the NetServer url, then you won't have to run upgrade.exe again. You should be able to just change the config file and it should work at once.

Have you tried browsing one of the SVC files in the new NetServer location? What happens if you do? (i.e. http://netserver.company.com/ServicesXX/Person.svc)

Hi Gabriel,

Have you tested the NS and made sure it works? This error message usually means the NS isn't set up properly, or that the site/app pool isn't started.

Also note that Service cannot talk to a NetServer via HTTPS.
