Hi,

It sounds like your element is screwing up the HTML and/or javascript of the webpage. Do you get anything interesting if you open developers tools in your browser (preferably chrome)?

I've got it to work but in strange way, as you can see from attachment the location of the edit entity menu is second from the bottom. However, in our 8.0 installation it is a second element. Is it ok, if i leave it to be as in snapshot?

Hi,

I cannot see any reason for why this field should destroy the page layout, except if you print out incorrrect (e.g. not terminated) HTML. Can you supply the content of the component as well?

I can not see any movement in developer window. I took a printscreen, how i tested it and shortly it is as follows:

When html text and parser element is second element:

1. after activating request and trying to scroll, it is not possible (clicking on message arrow will close it and open again)

2. after resizing window a bit, everything works like a charm again. No movement in developer window during resizement.

When i drag my html text and parser element to be second from the bottom, it works again. Can i leave it there even i've got instructions to keep in second from top?

Hi, regarding the scrolling issue. We also have the same problem in two of our solutions.

We've used "HTML text with parser and database" to add some GUI to the "View Ticket" screen. Very often it is not possible to scroll, and we need to resize the window to get the scrolling to work.

Hi,

I see the error now. Should have seen it on the screen shot. You have placed your element as a child of the "Panel" element. Consequently, the Panel element has two children. But this element does not support proper resizing of multiple children. You must place your element as a child of an element that supports resizing multiple children: Element table, Vertical table or Element Table v2.

Since you already have an Element Table v2 in your screen, I suggest placing your Parser-element inside that one. I.e. move it one place up, and tell the parent how you want it sized (fixed size, remaining size, etc).

in our case the problem is caused by the element highlighted in this screenshot.

Would adding a Element Table around elements 7 and 8 fix the problem, you think?

I'm not Sverre, but I always thought that Element Table was kinda mandatory inside a pane element (I know it works without, but labels and so on won't work if there're no Element Table, as far as I know).

I tested it underneeth other component, but it does not anymore behave as i expect to. I am referring to Simens reply to one of my request, where i wanted to show attachment icon in message row, without opening message first. Simen did help me with this and it worked for a while, until i upgraded environment into 8.2.

Frode: yes, you need to wrap these inside an Element table/v2. Otherwise our resizing will break.

Ok, I,ll tll try again, but I did that a few days ago, and then both the elements disappeared. I'll try again and show a screenshot.
