Installing CS gives FFHFile::FileException: fopen("c:\ejournal\config&quot;, "rb" + failed...

Hi,

Have upgraded a customer to Sales&Marketing 7 and installed CS.
Get an FileException at the end of ejtermsetup.exe pointing to a directory we have not specified. See image attached.

c:\ejournal is not a valid path.
Should be: :\SuperOffice 7 Server\Customer Service

Where is "c:\ejournal" comming from?

Get the same error trying to start CS in browser.
"FHFile::FileException: fopen("c:\ejournal\config", "rb" + failed, errno=No such file or directory; cwd=C:\SuperOffice 7 Server\Customer Service\www\scripts"

Anyone have any idea? Smile

Thanks in advance Smile

Hi, at the start of ejtermsetup.exe you are asked for the hostname, e.g. support.example.com.

I think it then expects to find a corresponding registry key called HKLM\SOFTWARE\SuperOffice Customer Service\support.example.com and get the basePath value.

If if doesn't find a match in the Registry it'll default to C:\ejournal\.

So make sure you are using the right hostname.

Thank's Frode, but there is no such key in registry.
Tried to add one, but did not help.

Installing CS I said hostname should be: cs.harmonien.no
But we then decided it should only be internal so in ejtermsetup I said: cs.harmonien.local

Changed ejCrontab.txt to correct hostname, - and all registry entries we could find.
All other config files seems to be correct.

Any other ideas? Smile
Un-install and install again....?

Hi

What was the solution to this?

RE: Installing CS gives FFHFile::FileException: fopen("c:\ejournal\config&quot;, "rb" + failed...

Gabriel,

The solution is to verify that the server has a registry key added with the same name as the site.

  • Log on the server
  • Open the windows search box (usually by clicking the windows key)
  • Write 'regedit'
  • Navigate down to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SuperOffice Customer Service
    • Note that this can vary based on the server version
  • There needs to be a key there with the same name as your Service site
    • Also needs two string values:
      • basePath (e.g: C:\SuperOffice\Service\)
      • instanceId (e.g: 0) The instanceId corresponds with the Installed Values key
