Multiple CS installs on the same domain

Hi All,

I am trying to install multiple CS installs on the same domain on our hosted platform, as done in online SuperOffice.  I have SuperOffice web working fine, but I cannot seem to get this to work with Customer Server.  Both will have the same domain, though they are on different web applications on the web server.

Is this possible?

Many thanks,

Trevor

RE: Multiple CS installs on the same domain

Several Service installations can be on the same IIS but not under same domain.

Thanks Emilija, do you know of any plans to add this in the future, as SuperOffice online seems to be able to handle this.

Many thanks,

Trevor

RE: Multiple CS installs on the same domain

Online is set up in an undocumented (for other parties) / special way.

But when it comes to multiple Service installation in one IIS at our partners' I have only seen it with different domains.

Cannot answer about what is / if is coming up, sorry.

RE: Multiple CS installs on the same domain

Hi Trevor,

Please post the Netserver log.

I just had that case and it was the environment (proxy) causing the issue. Could you give me some inside of the network setup? Also please test how it works if you use the host file to point URL to IP.

Greetings

Alex

RE: Multiple CS installs on the same domain

Hi Alex,

I thought I had deleted my post before anyone saw it :-).  Anyway, I have fixed my issue.  Basically when you install Customer Service, I have found that it does not create the web.config in the Scripts folder, if you chose not to automatically create the website, which you cannot do now, due to the new location of CS.

I always copy the one from my machine, however the exe files are all pointing to the C Drive install of CS, not the new install of CS which is on my F drive.  Once I changed all values to F:\... and did an iisreset, all is working.

Thanks for your help,

Trevor
