Hi, We are using Relations to control third-party companies that are delivering services to our customers. Is there a way to get a report on all companies with a particular type of relation?

Hi Bjørn

In its simplest form it's possible. You could do a search for companies with either a company-to-company or company-to-contact relation (and then specify if you are searching for the source or target part of the relation)

Then you could save your search as a dynamic selection (which in this example I would call "All companies who owns other companies")

Hopes this help 😊

Hi Øivind,

It's embarrassing that I didn't find that path myself.

Now I have tried it out, but I'm still struggling to get the information I'm looking for.

I have turned the relation around to find companies that has a relation to an "owner". In the result I also need the names of the "owner" companies. Is that possible?

Hi Bjørn, I guessed that you would ask about that.. 😊 but the answer is unfortunately no...

I will add that as a wish to our Product & Engineering team.

If this is really important, then another solution would be to create something custom for this where we could create some custom views to achieve what you want. Just let me know if that is a path you would like to pursue, then I would contact you.

Ref. David's comment, I will wait and hope that 9 years is enough 🙄. It's not critical , but it would be very helpful, and save us a lot of time in our daily use of Superoffice.
