How do I create contacts without a company connection?

I am creating a new contact, but I cannot save it. Why does it happen, and how do I create it?

To be able to save a contact without assigning it to a company record, you need to enable a preference that allows this. Please follow the steps below to do it:

  1. Log in to Settings & Maintenance.
     
  2. Click on Preferences (1), then Global preferences (2), and next to Mandatory company on contact (3), choose No.
