Something went wrong with clientAPI w. variations

On our setup (10.5.4) Onsite, I am 'suddenly' seeing all manner of variations over error messages after sign on.  It varies from one time to another in terms of what they are, but examples below

 

 

 

Going though the 'usual suspect/steps (restarting on IIS, SQL Server Service, recycle App pool, etc. Does not seem to have any effect.

Ideas/suggestions welcome.
