Hello Everyone

A colleague can't check the checkbox next to the documents in his activities.

He get's the following error instead: This document is checked out, so it cannot be set to "Completed".

Maybe it's because i'm an administrator but i can check the box for him without the error popping up.

Has annyone had this problem before or does anyone know how to wolve this?

Hi!

As the messages says: the document is checked out, it cannot be changed before the user who has checked it out, check the document in again. But there is a way if the user cannot be reached.

Please try searching in help for "check out" - Look down to the section "Cancel a check-out". Please note the warning about contacting the user who has checked out the document, he/she may have added important information to the document :)

That should solve your problems!

Hi!
Try to right-click on the document in the archive and go to "document..."

Then you can see who has checked out the document:

You can also revert the document to last checked-in version of the file under task:

And as Martin said "Please note the warning about contacting the user who has checked out the document, he/she may have added important information to the document :)"

Wish you a great summer.

First of all, thank you for your replies.

Unfortunately there are more problems:

- The name that "checked out" the file is the creator of the file. (With checked out i think you guys mean "completed"?)
- As soon as the file is saved it says it's checked out (I don't think this is normal?)
- This happens to every file that our salesteam creates and saves.
- every document he fills in and then saves, is empty in SO and has the checked out problem.

Hi Nils.

Do the user have WebTools active?

Almost sounds like the user don´t have webtools active and when creating new files they just get´s donwloaded to his donwlaods folder, and never uploaded again to SuperOffice.

Could you send this to the support with a link to this forum post and maybe contacts informations to the that checks out the documents.
