Cant add other type of more fields if max limit is already reached on "number/date/checkbox/list": An unexpected error occurred
Status: Solved
Description
Create 60 UDEF fields on company card.
Make sure all of them are of following type: Number, Date Check box or List.
Try to add one more item.
Observe: you get an error message right away: Unable to find a available field in the database..

Max number of UDEF limitation kicks in if you use all 60 fields of same type on company only, so you are not allowed to proceed and add different type of udefs on company card at all.
Expected: to be able to add more fields of different type, as text, without error message, even if you maxed out on a specific type on company tab.

The problem here is not the limitation itself, but no possibility to create any other field type even if the limit for those was not reached (short text, long text, decimal). If you have reached 60 fields of type number, date, check-box and list you get the error, but actually you should be able to create short text, long text and decimal fields. I suspect because by default you have type "Number" set when creating new field.
The system see, that there is already limit reached for type "Number" and gives an error.
Solution probably would be to make type by default empty instead of Number.

Is there no update on this. This is quite a critial issue, customers cannot add fields, when they have spare fields available.
