What to do when I get an error "Web Client not detected" when I try to archive e-mail from Outlook to SuperOffice CRM?

Updated on 7 Dec 2021

I cannot archive e-mails from Outlook to SuperOffice CRM. I tried to configure SuperOffice Mail Link, but I get this error: Web Client not detected

Why does it happen and how do I fix it?

There could be several reasons when this error occurs:

SuperOffice Mail Link detects an old Mail Link configuration

It might be that SuperOffice Mail Link configuration file default.site has values that are pointing to the old installation.

In this situation we recommend to delete this file and reconfigure Mail Link. Please follow the steps below to do it:

  1. Navigate to the SuperOffice Maillink folder and find the default.site file and delete it.

  2. Reconfigure SuperOffice Mail link, please check this FAQ to see instructions.

SuperOffice server is missing a prerequisite on the server (only SuperOffice onsite)

It might be that the server where SuperOffice CRM is installed do not have a necessary prerequisite: Windows Communication Foundation. Please make sure it is installed. Please check this article for more information about the prerequisites for SuperOffice CRM installation.

When SuperOffice web installation has multiple IIS bindings on the site (only SuperOffice onsite)

It might be that the SuperOffice site has more than one site binding on the IIS server. Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) does not allow more than one binding (of same type) for one web site.

In this situation we make sure checking with your IT responsible and confirm that there is only one same type binding for the SuperOffice site. If there are two, please remove one.
