Do I need to have SuperOffice Web Tools installed when I use SuperOffice for Outlook for archiving e-mail to SuperOffice CRM?

Updated on 12 Aug 2025

I want to use SuperOffice for Outlook to archive e-mails into SuperOffice CRM. Do I need to have SuperOffice WebTools installed at the same time?

You do not need to have SuperOffice WebTools to be able to archive e-mails when you use the SuperOffice for Outlook add-in. However, to be able to open the archived e-mails in the Outlook application, you want to keep SuperOffice MailLink installed and configured. It does not need to be activated in the Outlook Ribbon. We recommend disabling it and using MailLink functionality in the background.

To make sure that archived e-mails from SuperOffice open in Outlook, please follow the steps below:

  1. Install SuperOffice WebTools or confirm that SuperOffice MailLink is installed.
  • To confirm that SuperOffice MailLink is installed, please open Program Files and check if it exists in the installed programs list.
  • To install WebTools, please follow the instructions in this FAQ.

Note! Please check this FAQ if you want to know the difference between WebTools and MailLink.

2. Then you must see two sets of SuperOffice Archiving buttons in your Outlook Ribbon. We suggest disabling the buttons from SuperOffice MailLink. To do it, right-click on the Outlook Ribbon and click on the Customize the Ribbon item on the menu.

3. Click on the Add-ins (1) and then at the bottom of the screen click Go (2).

4. Deselect the box next to SuperOffice Ribbon (1) and close the dialog by clicking OK (2).

5. Now in the Outlook ribbon, you should see only the SuperOffice for Outlook button and you should be able to open e-mails from SuperOffice CRM with the Outlook application.
