Hello all,

Problem with the MailLink.

I installed SuperOffice 7.5.5543 SR1 MailLink (SuperOffice Windows Client) on the client
PC running Windows 7 with Outlook 2007.

When I try to archive a selected e-mail in Outlook, I receive the
following message: 'You need to select an item first', the same happens when I first
open the e-mail and then try to archive the e-mail.

Anybody experienced this error/message also.

Hello Thomas,

Thanks for the fast reply.
I will create a support request for this issue and will discuss this with the customer if we can reinstall the PC's that have this issue.

Hi Henk!

This is an issue we see once in a while in support, and is most likely caused by several Outlook installations on/having been on the machine, making an issue with wrong pointers in registry. It can be troublesome to cleanup things in registry, so I will of course recommend we get a support request on this :)

Hi,

I've seen this issue a couple of times. In both cases the customer has gotten a newer Office program, but just one. For example Lync, MS project 2013 while they are running all other Office programs in 2010.

I solved it by going into registry and deleting a 2013 key. Under this location in registry you'll find several Office keys:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{00062FFF-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}

If you are running Office 2010 you'll see the 9.4(Office2010) with subkeys. You'll also notice a 9.5(Office2013) key, however it doesn't have any values from what i've seen.

Deleting the 9.5 key has solved the issue, I have yet to see any sideeffects from deleting the blank key. Be sure to backup the key if you want to attempt this.

It might be the same for your customer with their 2007 Office, expect the version keys in my example to be a bit diffeent as it is 2007 in your case.

Hi Soren,

does the customer has Skype for Business,Visio or MS Project installed?

As Skype for Business Visio or MS Project is from Office 2016 it will/might create the 9.6 entry.

Hi there,

Has anyone seen this returning more persistent with WIN 10 Office 2010 installations.

I have a Customer where the above mentioned solutions works very well - just not for long. There is nothing to see in add remove program. But the key refering to outlook 9.6 keeps reappearing in the registrykey.

Cheers Søren
