Hi all,

Is it possible to fill editable fields in a pdf form with template variables?

We can not test this ourselfs because we do not have the software to create a editable pdf form.

Has anyone done this?

Hi Patrik,

No, there is no means today to do that. I believe what a couple partners have done (and sell) is a program that will take a selected document in the archive and convert it to a PDF.

Best regards.

Hi Patrik,
And if you did not know, you can't use a PDF document as a template.
I think the content is somehow compressed, and SoArcPlugIn can therefore not replace text in it, even if it should work in theory.

Hi,

Being this is an old thread I am hoping there might have been improvements on using PDF templates in SuperOffice.

Ivan, I've heard you have done it before. I have tried using template variables, such as "{name}", within the pdf form using Adobe Acrobat X but it doesn't work. Will it only work with the professional or is it possible with Acrobat X?

Best regards

Pål

Hi, some year since the last comment in this thread.

Is it possible in some way now?
